ESPN Fantasy Projection: Father Time had taken it rather easy on Suzuki in previous years, but that wasn't the case in 2014. While Suzuki did improve upon his OPS from 2013 slightly (25 points), his 17.7 percent strikeout rate, .056 ISO and 84.4 percent contact rate were all career-worst marks. The 10-time All-Star managed just one home run in 385 plate appearances after hitting at least five in each of his first 13 major league seasons, and barely reached 100 hits despite a .346 BABIP, his highest mark since 2010. Suzuki hadn't posted a BABIP above .300 in any of his previous three campaigns. To his credit, he was still able to make an impact on the basepaths, swiping 15 bags, in a limited role. Now 41, Ichiro will serve as the Marlins' fourth outfielder in 2015 after signing a one-year, $2 million deal in January. Given the quality of Miami's corps of starting outfielders, it seems likely Suzuki will see reduced opportunities for a fifth straight season.
